Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to their club’s reported interest in South Korean centre-back Kim Min-jae.
According to the Sunday Mirror – 21/06, p72 as per GiveMeSport, the North London club are leading the race to sign the 23-year-old this summer. Kim’s international teammate, Son Heung-min, is also being touted as being potentially key in the negotiations, with Spurs hoping that he can tempt the defender into joining the Lilywhites ahead of next season. The Beijing Guoan defender has made 30 appearances for his national side, contributing three goals in that time (per Transfermarkt). The former Jeonbuk Motors player is currently valued at £720k by Transfermarkt but the report suggests that he would cost closer to £13.5 million, which is unsurprising when you consider he only joined the Chinese side in January of last year, for a reported fee of £4.73 million (per Transfermarkt).
Do you think Son can help convince Min-jae to sign this summer?

A perfect Spurs signing…— arunSpurs (@arunspurs) June 22, 2020
Overall it seems as if the majority of Spurs fans are keen on a potential move for Kim this summer, and perhaps the South Korean international could prove to be an effective replacement for the outgoing Jan Vertonghen, with the Belgian’s contract set to expire at the end of the season.
