Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to an image of former manager Mauricio Pochettino alongside his son Maurizio after the youngster signed a new contract with the north London club.
The Spurs Web shared the images of the father and son on Twitter after it was announced that the 19-year-old had signed a new deal with the Lilywhites. This tweet attracted the attention of plenty of Spurs fans on social media.
One thing which seems to have caught Spurs fans’ attention is the fact that, despite being sacked by the club in November of last year, the manager can still be seen wearing a top with Spurs written on it.
The winger’s contract with Spurs was set to expire this week, but the extension means he is contracted until June 2022 (per Transfermarkt). The fact he has been given a new deal suggests that he wasn’t just at the club due to his father being the manager and they clearly hope that he can have an impact on the first-team at some point in the future.
However, the Argentinian is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club, which is perhaps unsurprising when you consider the options that Jose Mourinho has available to him in the 19-year-old’s position.
Do you think Maurizio will make it as a Spurs player?

Plenty of Spurs fans commented on Pochettino senior and his apparent love for the north London club.
I have no doubt whatsoever that Poch will be back before too long. The love he has for the club is everything.

Great news for young Poch and heartbreaking for me to see Poch Snr at Spurs and knowing he isn’t the gaffer. I hope so much that he comes back one day soon to finish what he started.#he’smagicyouknow
