Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that Dele Alli will face Juventus’ Paulo Dybala in a FIFA 20 charity match.

In an event organised by Gamers without Borders, some footballing stars from across the world will face each other in a charity e-sports event, which is attempting to raise $10 million for a relief fund for the current viral outbreak. How well do you remember Heung-Min Son's time with Spurs? - The Lilywhites signed Son from which Bundesliga side?

Unsurprisingly, a lot of Spurs fans were commenting the same thing, with regards to Dybala and a potential move to the North London club. The Lilywhites were close to signing the Argentinian international from Juventus last summer, only to be scuppered by the player’s image rights, which led to the deal falling through (per Independent).

The 26-year-old has since enjoyed a superb season with Maurizio Sarri’s side, averaging a 7.37 rating for his performances in Serie A, having contributed seven goals and four assists in 24 appearances in the Italian top flight (per WhoScored). The forward could well have been the perfect man to step up in the absence of Harry Kane earlier in the season after the Englishman’s hamstring injury, but unfortunately for Spurs fans, he remained with the Old Lady.

Reaction from Spurs fans to the news on Alli and Dybala can be seen in the tweets below.

Other Spurs fans took it as a sign that Dybala might yet still complete a transfer to the North London club.

Others urged Alli to try and convince Dybala to join him at Spurs.

Overall, it seems as if a lot of Spurs fans would still love to see their club sign Dybala this summer and feel that Alli should do his best to attract the Argentinian to North London. However, with the 26-year-old currently valued at £64.8 million, with it also having been reported that Spurs will be reliant on free transfers and swap deals this summer, a move for the Juventus ace ahead of next season looks unlikely.
