Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest transfer rumour linking their club with a move for Roma striker Patrik Schick.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via TranSPURS), the 24-year-old is on the market after RB Leipzig’s option to buy him expired earlier this week, with Roma hoping to recoup €26 million (£23.4 million) for the Czech forward. The report suggests that Roma are probing the English market for a potential destination for Schick, with Newcastle United, Everton, and Spurs all listed as those potentially interested in his signature.
The former Sampdoria man spent has spent this season on loan with RB Leipzig, contributing 10 goals in 21 appearances for Die Roten Bullen in the Bundesliga, averaging an impressive 7.06 rating (per WhoScored). However, this clearly wasn’t enough to convince the German side to make his loan signing permanent, despite the impending departure of fellow striker Timo Werner.
Would Schick be a good signing for Spurs?

Feels like a sensible option to be fair. Also could be profitable for Levy at that age so he’d be game!

A lot of hype around this guy. Think Roma ended up paying €40+ million on him

One Spurs fan recalled the 24-year-old’s performances in the recent Champions League tie against the Lilywhites, as Julian Nagelsmann’s side comfortably knocked Jose Mourinho’s side out 4-0 on aggregate.
He was much better against us over both legs than Werner was

I can’t think of many other strikers out there more suited to us as a “back up” to Kane tbh that we could realistically get. He’s class

Lilywhites supporters continued airing their support for this particular transfer rumour in their replies.
27 Million? GET. IT. DONE.

Would be a good signing for the club, just hope we have the funds though

27m for a 24 year old is a bargain nowadays. Get him in!

This would excite the hell out of me. Big target man with a good bit of flash to his game to back up Kane. https://t.co/uwieqpw7Ex

It seems as if all of these Spurs fans would love to see their side make a move for Schick this summer and will be hoping to see Daniel Levy make an offer for the Roma man in the hope of convincing him to make the move to the Premier League.
