Tottenham Hotspur-focused Twitter account @thespursweb recently posted a tweet which shared the alleged news that Tottenham are “willing to listen to offers” for players such as Serge Aurier, Kyle Walker-Peters, Eric Dier and Danny Rose “in an attempt to raise funds for other targets”.

This tweet cites The Times as the original source of this claim and this comes after The Times recently published an article discussing Spurs’ alleged interest in Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

It claims that the Saints value Hojbjerg at £35m, which is £15m more than the North London club had allegedly been hoping to spend on the Danish midfielder.

The Times then goes on to explain that Spurs’ summer spending is set to be “restricted” due to the current viral outbreak, before revealing that Rose, Aurier, Walker-Peters, and Dier are all under consideration of being sold in order to help the club to raise funds for the transfer market.

This news regarding this quartet of players caught the attention of plenty of Tottenham supporters after it was shared on Twitter via @thespursweb.

Some Spurs fans noted that they believe that the sale of these players would leave the club running low on options at full-back, with one supporter, in particular, sharing some concern over Aurier’s inclusion on this list.

Meanwhile, other Tottenham fans questioned the validity of this alleged news in response to Dier’s inclusion on this list. This comes after Football Insider recently reported that Dier is in talks over a new deal with the North London club.

Some Spurs fans reacted positively to this news, indicating that they wouldn’t mind seeing these four players leave the club.

Back in May, the Evening Standard claimed that Spurs’ “transfer plans would be reduced to free agents and swap deals” as a result of the current viral outbreak and the impact it is reportedly set to have on football’s transfer market. With that in mind, it mightn’t be too surprising if Tottenham are forced to sell players in order to spend money this summer.
