Fans of Tottenham have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which the club’s official Twitter account shared a picture of Spurs midfielder, Tanguy Ndombele.
The image displayed Ndombele in Spurs training ahead of the club’s return to Premier League action against Manchester United on Friday.
Since moving to Spurs from Olympique Lyon for a fee of £54million last summer, the midfielder has gone on to make 19 appearances in the Premier League, scoring two goals and providing two assists, averaging a slightly disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.76.
However, the French international has shown that he can improve on these performances, as, in the Champions League, he has averaged a much more impressive match rating of 7.34 over his six appearances in the competition.
Having said this, despite his disappointing league form, fans of Tottenham still appear extremely keen on the 23-year-old, as can be seen from their replies to the club’s tweet.

With Spurs currently sitting in eighth place in the Premier League table, it is likely that fans of the club will be hoping for their side to significantly improve on their performances from earlier in the season over their remaining nine fixtures in the league.
Are you excited to see Ndombele back playing?
Yes
No
However, it would seem as if the fans are more concerned with the image of Ndombele at present, with many more flocking to the club’s post regarding the player.
Looking slimmer

With Manchester United on Friday, as well as Sheffield United, Everton, Leicester and Arsenal all still to play over their remaining fixtures of the season, Spurs certainly have their work cut out for themselves if they are to secure European football for next season.
