Belgian publication Voetbal Belgie recently published an article discussing Sheffield United’s interest in alleged Newcastle United target Emmanuel Dennis.

In addition to the Magpies, this report from Voetbal Belgie claims that the Blades are considering making a move for the 22-year-old Nigeria international this summer.

Can you score 20/20 on this Premier League quiz? Starting off easy, who is the top scorer in the Premier League this season?

This article linking the Blades with the Club Brugge centre-forward states that Brugge have placed a €25m (£22.33m) price tag on Dennis. Selling the player for this price would see Brugge make a healthy profit on the £1.17m they paid to sign the Nigerian from Ukrainian side Zorya Luhansk in the summer of 2017 with the report going on to claim that Brugge’s asking price ‘would not deter Sheffield United’ from pursuing the attacker’s signature.

TIF Thoughts…

Dennis has made 20 appearances for Brugge in Belgium’s top flight during the 2019/20 season, scoring five goals in those games, as per WhoScored. Furthermore, the striker also had the opportunity to showcase his ability in the UEFA Champions League this season, as he scored two goals and provided one assist in six Champions League appearances for Brugge this term.

His two Champions League goals came in a 2-2 draw with Real Madrid, whilst he provided his only Champions League assist this season in his side’s 3-1 loss in the return fixture

The striker also scored a goal in Brugge’s 1-1 Europa League draw with Manchester United back in February.

It may be fair to say that Dennis has delivered some impressive performances against top-level opposition this season and it may not come as a surprise that the 22-year-old has attracted interest from Premier League Sheffield United.
