Sheffield United-focused journalist James Shield caught the attention of many Blades fans recently after he posted a tweet that included a link to an article from the Sheffield Star which discusses the Blades’ Premier League clash with Aston Villa that is set to take place on 17th June as England’s top-flight prepares to restart.

This article from the Sheffield Star claims that the Blades “have been warned they will face a much-improved Aston Villa side” on 17th June when the Premier League resumes.

The report goes on to state that Villa manager Dean Smith believes that John McGinn “could start” their upcoming clash with the Blades after he had been out of action due to an ankle injury prior to the postponement of the division back in March. Furthermore, this report claims that Villa are hopeful that the break that they have had since last playing a Premier League game on the ninth of March could help them to enjoy some improved form when football returns. They lost each of their last four Premier League games prior to the league’s postponement.

Plenty of Sheffield United supporters have flocked to Shield’s tweet sharing this report.

Some Blades fans have replied to this post by sharing that they don’t think Villa could be any worse than they have been in some of their recent clashes with Sheffield United. According to 11v11, Villa have won just one of their last six games versus Sheffield United in all competitions, losing three of those fixtures.
