A lot of Newcastle United fans have reacted to a post from Mark Douglas, which included a link to a tweet from Sheffield United – as the Blades confirmed they were going to be providing refunds for the rest of the season.

Nice easy one to start off with, which club did Newcastle United sign Shearer from in 1996?

This led Douglas to tweet, asking Toon fans to guess which is the only Premier League club not to say anything about refunds.

The answer is, of course, Newcastle United, who have refused to comment on refunds as they continue to hold onto season ticket money despite the Premier League confirming the rest of the season would be played behind closed doors.

This tweet from Douglas has angered these Toon fans, who cannot believe their club are continuing to hold onto their money.

Are you surprised by this from Newcastle?

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan, as well as Douglas, have criticised this stance from Newcastle, but still, the Toon have said nothing about refunds.

This post from Douglas led to some Toon fans jokingly asking which club Douglas is talking about.

The ongoing takeover of Newcastle might be having an impact on this situation – with Sky Sports’ Pete Graves certainly thinking this could be the case – but if so, then surely someone from Newcastle should come out and say something?

Instead, they are refusing to comment, and it is clearly angering these Toon fans.

Jordan did hint in his recent rant on TalkSPORT that the new owners would be coming in ‘sooner rather than later’, but even so, Newcastle should be communicating with their fans. (0:42)

One fan does believe that the takeover is having an impact and that it is leaving the club in limbo.

It certainly looks as if the takeover is having some effect as player contracts also need to be negotiated, but with this ongoing takeover, that is proving to be harder than anticipated.

However, it is the season ticket money that is, understandably, concerning these Toon fans.
