Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been reacting to a recent social media post regarding a recent report published by the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
This comes after barrister and Newcastle fan Rhys Rosser shared a post on his Twitter page revealing his and @RedRoseMichelle thoughts on the report and what it means for the club.
Rosser claims: “This report isn’t as bad as everyone expected. Various reports were well wide of the mark. PIF aren’t mentioned (nor NUFC / Premier League).”
Has this tweet pleased you?
Yes

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Newcastle fans who were quick to share their reactions to this latest post.

The report focuses on piracy in Saudi Arabia. This links to Newcastle as Amanda Staveley’s consortium that are looking to replace current owner Mike Ashley, are based in Saudi Arabia.
Lets all have a whip round for Rhys and Michelle for more detailed info on these matters. I for sure would be all at sea. PL get this takeover approved and by stress levels can return to normality

In a later tweet, Rosser claimed that the summary of the report “states that people within Saudi Arabia were engaged in piracy. That isn’t the same as the Saudi Govt being involved in it.”
Sounds like only problem Saudi’s have is they didn’t police the piracy. No evidence they were actually involved in the piracy

Now that Rosser has shared his thoughts on the report and the fact that it hasn’t directly affected the club, this sparked a big reaction on Twitter with lots of Newcastle fans responding to the post with their reactions.
Thanks guys, your insight has been great. So it reads as no link mentioned between KSA and PIF and Saudi’s just need to do more to combat piracy. In my opinion CANS!!!

It appears as though Rosser’s clarification on the report has pleased a lot of Newcastle fans who feel like they are a step closer to finally getting the takeover announcement.
Now that this report has been released, Newcastle fans can now move on and focus on seeing their team return to action on the football pitch for their remaining Premier League fixtures later this month (per BBC Sport).
