Supporters of Manchester City have been reacting to a report which has emerged on an idea being considered by Premier League clubs.
According to the Daily Mail, broadcasting crowd noise from the video game FIFA 20 upon the league’s return has been touted as a possible idea (via @City_Xtra).
The report states that Premier League clubs will vote on whether or not this should be done during their next meeting on Thursday.
It is supposedly understood by the Daily Mail that this is the league’s preferred option to improve the viewing spectacle for those watching at home, however, clubs will have the final say.
The idea has arisen due to matches being played behind closed doors upon the league’s scheduled return to action on 17th June.
On the day of the Premier League’s comeback, City will face Arsenal and Aston Villa will play Sheffield United.
So, with the report on the crowd noise shared to social media, City supporters aired their thoughts on the prospective idea.
#PremierLeague clubs will be asked to approve the broadcast of crowd noise from FIFA 20 at their next meeting.
The use of a soundtrack from the game has emerged as the #PL's preferred option to improve the televisual spectacle of behind-closed-doors matches.

Gotta be a wind up this

According to the report from the Daily Mail, FIFA 20 crowd noise would only be an optional extra for viewers and would be on the red button rather than on the main channels.
It makes no sense. This is not a show or a production, it’s a sport for crying out loud.

No, no, no.

At their meeting on Thursday, Premier League clubs will also vote on a number of other issues surrounding the return of the Premier League.
They will be voting on high-profile matches possibly being played at neutral venues, how to decide the league in case of curtailment and proposals for disciplinary action if protocols are broken.
Fans continued airing their disapproval of the idea on FIFA 20 crowd noise, though.
Silly and unrealistic. When you know it is canned cheering you still don’t share thar passion.

What a load of nonsense.

Would you be for or against the idea of FIFA 20 crowd noise being broadcast? For, it would be betterAgainst, it's a silly idea |
While the majority of supporters seemed to be against the supposed idea, one fan thought that it may not be such a bad plan.
It sounds ridiculous but anyone who has watched the NRL (rugby league) will see (or hear) that it actually works OK. Certainly better than the Bundesliga which feels like a training game.

As can be seen in most of the responses from fans of the Manchester club, though, they are not keen on the idea of fake fan noise being broadcast.
