Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of City’s interest in Valencia winger, Ferran Torres.
According to reports in Spanish publication Superdeporte, Manchester City and Juventus are the clubs with the most interest in the 20-year-old, with Pep Guardiola and Txiki Begiristain reportedly putting the winger at the top of their shortlist to replace the potentially outgoing Leroy Sane, which also includes Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Adama Traore, Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman and Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by Man City Xtra on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that City should do everything in their power to sign Torres.

So far this season, Torres has impressed for Valencia, scoring four goals and providing four assists over his 25 La Liga appearances, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.85.
However, it would seem that it has been the Champions League in which the 20-year-old has really flourished, scoring two goals and providing two assists over his six appearances in the competition this season, averaging a remarkable match rating of 7.47.
Despite the fine form of Torres, some City fans appear to hold the belief that some of the club’s other reported targets, such as Leon Bailey, would suit the club better.

Bailey has struggled somewhat for game time at Bayer Leverkusen this term, featuring in the Bundesliga 18 times, with only eight of those being starts.
Despite this fact, the 22-year-old has still scored five goals and provided two assists in the league this season, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.72.
However, it would appear that Torres is the player most inform of out of the two, as well as being two years younger than the Bayer Leverkusen winger, which could, arguably, make him a more attractive prospect for Guardiola’s side.
