Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports regarding the latest on Olympique Lyon attacking midfielder Houssem Aouar.
According to recent reports by L’Equipe (via Sport Witness), Guardiola’s side, as well as Juventus, are interested in the 21-year-old, with the paper suggesting that both City and Juve have ‘positioned themselves’ to sign Aouar. However, it is also reported that the two clubs are yet to start negotiations with Lyon.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by both Man City Xtra and City Chief on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that Aouar would be ‘dangerous’ under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.

Since being promoted to Lyon’s first team back in 2016, Aouar has gone on to make 133 appearances for the Ligue 1 club, scoring 24 goals and providing 24 assists.
So far this season, the 21-year-old has scored three goals and provided four assists over his 25 appearances in the French top flight, averaging an impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.02/10.
Would you like to see Houssem Aouar join Manchester City for next season?
YES
NO
In addition to this, the midfielder has also performed very admirably in the Champions League, scoring one goal and providing three assists over his five appearances in the competition, averaging a remarkable match rating of 7.73.
However, despite these undeniably impressive returns, some City fans have suggested that their side needs to improve on their defence, rather than bring in more midfielders to the club.
Swap with Gündogan, we dont need more CMs. This way Foden gets a chance

Well then they aren’t positioned correctly. Does this mean they have an agreement with Aouar?

While it is indeed true that Guardiola’s side could do with a new centre-back over the summer, as the Spaniard has often resorted to playing central midfielder Fernandinho in the heart of the defence this season, it could also be argued that with City losing David Silva at the end of this campaign, they may well need to bring in another attacking midfielder, too.
