Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news surrounding the return of the current Premier League season.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in an article by Matt Hughes for the Daily Mail.
Hughes claimed that Premier League clubs “will be asked to approve the broadcast of crowd noise from the FIFA 20 video game at their next meeting on Thursday.”
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest news.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

No thanks as much as its strange watching with no crowd, I don’t wanna hear fake noises. It would be like canned laughter on a TV show.

Would you watch a PL game with fake crowd noise?
Yes
No
The report also added that “the fake crowd noise would be optional for viewers in the UK and broadcast on the red button rather than on main channels.”
Back in March, all professional football across the country, including the Premier League was temporarily suspended due to the current global pandemic.
Pls dont do that

Last week, the Premier League released a statement revealing that the current season will resume again later this month with all remaining games to be played behind closed doors. This means that there will be no fans in the stadiums when the matches are to be played.
Now that it has been reported that some Premier League clubs are reportedly wanting crowd noise to be broadcasted during their games, this sparked a big reaction on Twitter.
Lame

However, there were some Liverpool fans who were all for this idea.
Yeah that’ll be good

Add some cardboard cut outs and it’s all good. As long as they keep martin Tyler and Alan Smith away

It appears that this idea of artificial crowd noise being an option for home-viewing supporters has completely split this group of Liverpool fans.
This idea feels like the Premier League and its clubs are trying everything they can to help make watching these upcoming games as normal as possible, even by adding fake crowd noises on their broadcasts.
