Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is reportedly arousing interest from clubs in Germany over a potential move away from Anfield this summer.

This comes after it was published in a report by Le 10 Sport (via Sport Witness) that Keita is being “courted” by a number of teams in the Bundesliga.

The report claims that despite this reported interest from numerous German clubs, only Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund would be able to financially complete a potential deal for the midfielder.

The report also added that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp ‘is a fan of his profile’ and his ‘many qualities’.

The 25-year-old, who is currently valued at £30.15 million according to Transfermarkt, first signed to the Merseyside club back in 2018 from RB Leipzig for a fee of £54 million (per Transfermarkt).

Since then, the midfielder has gone on to make 51 appearances for the Reds in which he has managed to score six goals and provide two assists (per Transfermarkt).

Unfortunately for Keita, numerous injury issues have disrupted his time at Anfield.

This season has seen Keita make just nine appearances for the Reds in the Premier League. However, his performances in those appearances have seen the midfielder being awarded a season rating of decent 7/10 (per WhoScored).

TIF Thoughts…

Given how many injuries Keita has sustained during his spell at the Merseyside club, it may be wise for the club to move him on this summer.

However, this seems unlikely as the report claims that Klopp is still a big fan of the 25-year-old despite his sporadic appearances for the club this season.
