2018/19 season quiz: How many points did Jurgen Klopp's side accumulate in the Premier League?

On the topic of Salah, who sat the game out on the substitutes’ bench during the draw, Gorst shared his thoughts on the Egyptian.

He said: “There’s no doubt Liverpool missed Mohamed Salah [against Everton], I think any team in the world would miss Mohamed Salah on any given day. No doubt about it, Liverpool missed Salah and he should be back for Wednesday, but the way Jurgen Klopp’s got a little bit of a history of playing down injuries, knocks and so on, I wouldn’t be too shocked if he didn’t feature, but following off what he said over the last couple of days, hopefully, he will be back, as will Robertson.

“Both players will give Liverpool a couple of extra dimensions in terms of attacking from wide areas.”

No

Salah has been one of Liverpool’s top performers this season, having scored 16 goals and provided six assists in 26 Premier League appearances.

The 28-year-old’s performances in the league have earned him a season rating of 7.45/10, making him the second-highest-rated player in the Liverpool squad for this campaign (per WhoScored).

TIF Thoughts…

Given the attacking prowess Salah has shown for Klopp’s side throughout this season in terms of goals and assists, he was clearly going to be a big miss for the Reds at Goodison Park, and the 0-0 result shows that.

The hope for Liverpool now would be that Salah can return to full fitness for their upcoming match against Crystal Palace as the Merseyside club aim to wrap up the Premier League title.
