Liverpool have been handed a squad fitness boost ahead of their upcoming Premier League match against Merseyside rivals Everton.

This comes after football journalist Dominic King shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing that Jurgen Klopp’s side have “no fitness worries so far” as they prepare to resume their Premier League campaign.

King also added that Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson were both involved in an “inter-squad game at Anfield” earlier in the week after the pair had sat out a recent friendly match against Blackburn Rovers as a “precaution”.

Back in March, all professional football, including the Premier League, was put on a temporary suspension due to the impact of the current global pandemic.

Earlier this month, the Premier League released a statement revealing that the current season would resume later this month “provided that all safety requirements are in place.”

TIF Thoughts…

It’s good to hear that there are no injury worries for Klopp or the Liverpool fans to be worried about as they prepare to continue their brilliant Premier League season.

Before the temporary suspension, Liverpool found themselves top of the Premier League table, 25 points ahead of second-place Manchester City.

It’s good to hear that there are no new worries surrounding the fitness of Salah and Robertson. The pair have been regular figures for Liverpool this season with both having made over 25 Premier League appearances each so far this season (per WhoScored).

The hope now for everyone connected to the Merseyside club will be that the team can continue winning matches as they look to secure the Premier League title.
