A group of Liverpool supporters have been reacting to a report claiming the club are considering a move for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar. RMC Sport claims the Reds are ‘very interested’ in the 21-year-old Frenchman.
Aouar is valued at £44.55m according to Transfermarkt.co.uk and despite his age, he has already played 133 times for the Ligue 1 outfit, scoring 24 goals and providing his teammates with 24 assists. The report claims that Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Manchester City are amongst the clubs also interested in landing the player, along with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
Here is how some of the Anfield faithful have responded to the news after it was relayed on Twitter by @LFCTransferRoom.
In other words Lyon want to drum up an auction like they do with all their players.

Would you like to see Liverpool move for Aouar?
Yes
No
It’s clear from the above responses that these fans aren’t convinced of their club’s reported interest in the player, with some even suggesting Lyon are looking to instigate a bidding war amongst those genuinely interested in Aouar’s services. However, a couple of fans believe a move for the midfielder would make sense:
Makes sense. Our midfield is, par from Ox, often lacking creativity and pace. He is Young, technically gifted, Can play a variety of positions and has a lot of potential! ??

In Ligue 1 this season, Aouar boasts an average performance rating of 7.02/10 but more impressively, in the Champions League this season, he has performed at a higher level, earning a rating of 7.73/10 according to WhoScored.com. Taking that into consideration, it is no wonder that he is being linked with a move to some of European football’s elite clubs.
