Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news surrounding Reds goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @AnfieldWatch shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in an article by Neil Jones for Goal.
In the article, Jones revealed that prior to Liverpool’s defeat to Real Madrid in the 2018 Champions League final, the Reds’ sporting director Michael Edwards had spent the previous 12 months “negotiating with Alisson’s representatives, convincing him that Liverpool, and not Real Madrid, Napoli or Chelsea, all of whom were keen to sign him, was the best place for him.”
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager on having their say on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

The 2018 Champions League final saw Jurgen Klopp’s side lose to the Spanish side after Loris Karius made two errors that led to Real Madrid scoring in the match.
We just need to keep paying Michael Edwards whatever he wants to stay as our SD.

Michael Edwards does a fine job especially behind the scenes. We only see his completed work when players are doing the melwood lean, this show’s the very gruelling work done to get a top class player I for one wouldn’t have the patience. Thank you Michael
