French publication Le 10 Sport recently published a report which shares some information regarding Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

The article also shares that the 23-year-old Foxes midfielder had also previously attracted interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, however, Le 10 Sport goes on to state that both of these clubs have now turned their attention to alternative targets. This could make the path more clear for Ndidi to make a move to Old Trafford instead of either of the European giants, or indeed staying at Leicester.

TIF Thoughts…

Ndidi has earned an impressive average overall rating of 7.36/10 from his 23 Premier League appearances this season, according to WhoScored. This makes him the Foxes’ second-highest-rated player in the league this term.

Some of Ndidi’s standout statistics from the 2019/20 Premier League season include his average of four tackles and 2.7 interceptions per Premier League game. The 23-year-old has also completed an average of 2.7 long balls per game in England’s top flight this season.

This means that the Nigeria international has made a higher number of tackles per game and a higher number of interceptions per game in the Premier League this term than any Manchester United player. Furthermore, only five Red Devils players have completed more long balls per league game than the Leicester man.

With that in mind, it may be understandable why the 23-year-old midfielder may have caught United’s attention.
