Supposed Everton transfer target Dwight McNeil has been touted to leave Burnley in the not-too-distant future by Sean Dyche.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, which relayed quotes from the Clarets manager, Dyche believes that the youngster will be sold sooner or later.

The report quotes the Burnley boss as saying: “I’d be very, very surprised if he doesn’t leave Burnley at some point,” because Dyche felt that was “the reality of Burnley”.

To start this quiz on Richarlison with an easy one, how much did the Toffees pay to secure the Brazilian's services including potential future fees?

The piece then went on to tout the interest from the Toffees in signing the 20-year-old, but also mentioned interest from Crystal Palace and Manchester United.

As stated by the Daily Mail, Roy Hodgson’s outfit sees McNeil as an eventual replacement for Wilfried Zaha.

The English winger currently has three seasons left on his contract at Turf Moor and has a market value of £16.2m according to Transfermarkt.

TIF Thoughts…

Should the Toffees attempt to prise McNeil away from Burnley, the youngster’s statistics this season would suggest that it would be a positive move.

In the Premier League this season, the Burnley attacker has earned an impressive 7.10/10 average rating over 32 appearances for the Clarets (per WhoScored).

Should the 20-year-old have earned the same average rating for the Toffees in England’s top flight, then he would have been their third-best performer this season behind Lucas Digne and Richarlison (per WhoScored).

Would you be pleased with the signing of Dwight McNeil from Burnley?

When in comparison with one of Everton’s current wingers, Theo Walcott, the Burnley winger’s talents become even more evident.

This season, McNeil has made 1.4 key passes and performed 2.2 dribbles per league game. These figures eclipse those of Walcott as the 31-year-old winger has made 0.6 key passes and performed 0.6 dribbles per match.

So, if Ancelotti’s outfit can negotiate a deal anywhere near the player’s £16.2m market value, that would likely be solid transfer business.
