According to a report, Watford have launched a bid for Crystal Palace and Brighton transfer target Hassane Kamara.

A recent report by Foot Mercato has claimed that Watford have bid a figure of around €3million (£2.7million), with an additional €2million (£1.8million) in bonuses, for the 26-year-old Stade de Reims left-back.

Can you score 20/20 on this Premier League quiz? Starting off easy, who is the top scorer in the Premier League this season?

However, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Olympique Marseille are said to all be monitoring the situation of Kamara, with the report claiming that André Villas-Boas would very much like to sign the defender in order to provide an alternate option to Jordan Amavi in club’s left-back position.

TIF Thoughts…

It is fair to say that Kamara’s stock has risen dramatically since his move to Reims from LB Châteauroux on a free transfer back in 2015.

In total for the Ligue 1 outfit, the 26-year-old has made 74 appearances, over which he has scored three goals.

However, it was this season in particular when the left-back truly flourished, as, over his 18 appearances in Ligue 1, he managed to score two goals, as well as averaging 2.6 tackles, 2.6 interceptions, 2.1 clearances and 1.3 shots per game, and a highly impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.23.

And, with Remis reportedly willing to accept a fee in the region of €3million to €5million (£2.7million to £4.5million), it would appear that Kamara would be an extremely cheap option for Palace, should they decide to make a move for the player.

However, with Marseille also interested, who are able to offer the allure of Champions League football, as well as the fact that Watford have already bid for the player, it would seem that Palace could face an uphill battle to secure the left-back’s signature.
