Sky Sports recently published an article that discusses the future of Wilfried Zaha ahead of the 2020 summer transfer window.

This report explains that “it was no secret” that the Ivory Coast international wanted to leave Selhurst Park last summer, however, despite attracting interest from clubs such as Everton and Arsenal, no club matched the Eagles’ alleged £80m valuation of the 27-year-old attacker.

Whilst clubs were hesitant to match Palace’s valuation of the winger last summer, this report from Sky Sports doesn’t appear to rule out the possibility that the attacker could be on the move this summer. The article states that Palace are “better equipped to deal with his departure” than they were last year, pointing to the form of Jordan Ayew, who has scored eight league goals for the Eagles this season.

TIF Thoughts…

This article reveals some comments that Zaha recently made about wanting “to win trophies”.

As per Football.london, the Eagles man recently appeared on YouTube show ‘The Locker Room’, where he spoke to Rio Ferdinand, declaring that he believes “trophies is what it’s all about”. As per the club’s official website, Palace have never managed to win a major domestic cup, whilst their highest-ever finish in England’s top-flight is third place, which they achieved back in the 1990/91 campaign.

With that in mind, it may be fair to say that Zaha might be unlikely to win trophies at Selhurst Park, and his desire to win silverware may mean that he does have his eye on a move away from Palace once again this summer.
