Who scored Villa's goal in their 1-0 win against Stoke City on the opening day of the 2014/15 Premier League season?

The 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £9.45 million according to Transfermarkt, signed to the Championship club back in the 2018 summer transfer window from French club OGC Nice for a fee of £1.53 million.

Since then, the Algerian has gone on to make 79 appearances for the Championship side, in which he has managed to score 21 goals and provide 25 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

This season, in particular, has seen Benrahma in fine form for the club, having scored 10 goals and provided seven assists in 34 Championship appearances.

This has resulted in the winger being awarded a season rating of 7.4/10, making the 24-year-old Brentford’s highest-rated player, according to WhoScored.

TIF Thoughts…

Considering that so many Premier League teams are reportedly interested in signing Benrahma this summer, this goes to show just how impressive the winger has been this season.

With Villa currently sitting in the relegation zone and running the risk of being relegated back to the Championship, this could potentially hamper any chance of the club signing the Algerian.

However, some of Benrahma’s strengths include dribbling, crossing and taking long shots (as per WhoScored). This could work well with Dean Smith’s side, as some of their own styles of play include taking a lot of shots, attempting crosses often and playing long balls.
