Aston Villa club captain Jack Grealish could be eyeing up a transfer move to Tottenham Hotspur.

This comes after former Villa striker Darren Bent told Football Insider that Grealish “has got his sights set on three teams” for a potential transfer move away from Villa Park.

Who scored Villa's goal in their 1-0 win against Stoke City on the opening day of the 2014/15 Premier League season?

Bent claimed that as well as Spurs, Grealish could also have his eyes on a move to either of the Manchester clubs if he were to leave Villa this summer.

Grealish made his Premier League debut for the club back in 2014 when he was 18 years old after working his way through the Villa youth system (per Transfermarkt).

If Villa avoid relegation this season, should they sell or keep Grealish?

The 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £27.45 million according to Transfermarkt, has been Villa’s star performer so far this season.

Across all competitions, Grealish has made 31 total appearances for Dean Smith’s side in which he has managed to score nine goals and provide eight assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

In the Premier League, Grealish’s performances in his 26 appearances have resulted in the Englishman being awarded a season rating of 7.33/10, making him the highest-rated Villa player in Smith’s squad (per WhoScored).

TIF Thoughts…

If Bent is right in saying that a move to Tottenham could be of interest to Grealish at some point in the future, then the London club may well want to do what they can to sign the Villa man.

Grealish could be a good fit in Jose Mourinho’s side as some of his player characteristics include his dribbling, passing and ability to make key passes (per WhoScored).

This could be useful for Spurs as some of their strengths include creating chances using through balls and making a lot of short passes (per WhoScored).
