Fans of Aston Villa have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of Besiktas’ interest in Villa centre-forward Keinan Davis.
According to recent reports in Turkish newspaper Posta (via Sport Witness), Besiktas are interested in signing the 22-year-old striker, who will become a free agent this summer after his contract with Villa expires on June 30th.
According to the reports, Besiktas’ board have reportedly held talks with Davis and his agent, with Posta claiming that both sides will hold further discussions this week.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed on Twitter by @villareport, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that if the club let Davis go this summer, then they should just scrap their academy side, while others have simply claimed that they would not like to see the deal go ahead.
If this happens we should just cancel our youth system

We don’t give him any playtime. You can’t blame him if he decided to leave.

No no no. If he can get fitness sorted will be a real player

Davis is a much better player than someone like Wesley, we’ll regret this a lot of it goes through.

However, so far this season, Davis has failed to start a game for Aston Villa in the Premier League, making eight appearances from the bench, in which he has registered no goals or assists, as well as averaging a disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.18/10.
Should Villa keep or sell Keinan Davis this summer?
It is not surprising, then, to see that other Villa fans appear to be quite happy at the reports that Davis looks set to leave the club this summer.
Cash in, he’s made of glass

As such, it would appear that these Villa fans are split as to whether or not they would like to see Davis leave the club this summer.
