This comes after Villa-focused Twitter account @TheVillaVision shared a post on their page relaying comments made by Whelan to Football Insider.

Who scored Villa's goal in their 1-0 win against Stoke City on the opening day of the 2014/15 Premier League season?

Whelan revealed that he is “sick and tired” of the “whinging” coming out of the Birmingham club after Villa defender recently spoke about the Premier League resuming.

In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Mings claimed that the decision to resume the current Premier League season is “financially driven rather than integrity-driven”.

Do you agree with Mings' comments?

It would appear that Whelan has taken offence to these comments and suggested to Football Insider that Mings should “get back to work”.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on Whelan and his latest comments on Mings.

Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:

Back in May, Whelan labelled Villa manager Dean Smith’s comments on the fact that he could be missing two players in his squad when the Premier League season resumes as being “disrespectful”, which just goes to show that Whelan has previous when it comes to sharing his opinions on the Birmingham club.

Now that Whelan has come out and shared his latest thoughts on how Mings has evaluated his thoughts on the return of the Premier League season, this paved the way for lots of Villa fans to share their opinions on Whelan.

However, there was one Villa fan who actually agreed with Whelan’s comments on Mings.

It appears that the majority of these Villa fans feel like Whelan is starting to get a little bit obsessed with Villa and what’s going on at the club.

But both Mings and Whelan are welcome to their own opinions on this matter and will just have to agree to disagree.
