Middlesbrough are reportedly one of several sides to enquire about Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes, with Celtic and Sunderland also eyeing a move for the 24-year-old.

According to TEAMtalk, Derby County, Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers are amongst the clubs who have spoken to Livingston about his availability. Meanwhile, Middlesbrough, Millwall, Wigan Athletic and Sunderland have also enquired for the forward, who the Scottish side value at around £2 million.

We will look at Marcelo Bielsa to kick off this quiz on the Championship's managers, which of these national teams has the Leeds United boss managed?

Before the cancellation of the Scottish Premiership in May, Dykes was able to contribute nine goals, helping the Lions to an impressive fifth-place finish. The young striker also contributed eight assists, along with his nine goals, in 25 appearances (per Transfermarkt) in the Scottish top-flight, to round off an impressive campaign from the former Queen of the South striker, ending the season as Livingston’s top goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership.

TIF Thoughts…

Middlesbrough’s top scorer so far this season in the Championship is Ashley Fletcher, with just eight goals (per Whoscored), so you could certainly argue that Jonathan Woodgate’s side are in need of attacking reinforcements in the summer window. The North East side are currently the lowest scorers in England’s second division, so it is perhaps no surprise to see them being linked with a move for Dykes this summer.

Would Dykes be a good signing for Middlesbrough this summer?

However, with the Boro still in danger of relegation to League One, prior to the resumption of the 2019/20 season later this month, it would perhaps be difficult to see them matching Livingston’s reported £2 million asking price, should they suffer relegation to the third tier.
