Nice easy one to start. Who is this current Leeds man?

A Leeds fan replied to Hay’s tweet sharing this article to ask the journalist if the Whites’ Spanish playmaker Hernandez has recovered from the injury that kept him out of last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Cardiff City and Hay provided an update on Hernandez’s fitness in response to this Leeds supporter.

The journalist revealed that Hernandez is: “doing well by all accounts but as ever, it depends on how [Marcelo] Bielsa sees it.”

Do you think that Pablo Hernandez will be fit to play for Leeds this weekend?

TIF Thoughts…

While Hay’s article provides some insight into how second-placed Leeds may be able to overcome the challenge of third-placed Fulham this weekend, it may be understandable if some Leeds supporters may be hanging a lot of their hopes of success in this game on Hernandez’s return from injury.

The former Spain international has earned an impressive average overall rating of 7.19 from his 28 Championship appearances this season according to WhoScored, who rank him as Leeds’ joint-second highest rated player in the league this season.

Furthermore, Hernandez is currently Leeds’ second-highest goalscorer in the Championship for the 2019/20 campaign, as well as being the Whites’ second-highest assist provider in England’s second-tier this term.

With all of that in mind, it may be understandable if some Leeds fans are on the edge of their seats waiting for updates on the 35-year-old’s fitness heading into this weekend’s Championship fixture.
