Nice easy one to start. Who is this current Leeds man?

This could be good news for Leeds, as Graham Smyth revealed that Jean-Kevin Augustin is undergoing assessment following fears that he could miss the rest of the season through injury.

If that does turn out to be the case, then Marcelo Bielsa would have to rely on Patrick Bamford and Roberts as his only first-team strikers.

Forshaw continued to praise Roberts on the podcast, which indicates that he thinks highly of the 21-year-old.

He said: “Condition-wise, Tyler Roberts looks in great nick. He looks in great shape. Stu [Dallas] said he’s been so sharp in training. He’s got some ability, Tyler. He’s been unfortunate with injuries, but he could play a key part in the last nine games.

“He’s a nice footballer and I think he’s now getting fully accustomed to the regime, what the demands are of the sessions and the way the manager wants you to play and hopefully, I think his body’s ready for it.”

With Leeds leading 2-0 against Hull City, Bielsa decided to bring Roberts on for Bamford, and he popped up with a game-clinching brace.

Judging by what Forshaw was saying, he seems to have returned to training hungry and in top condition.

Are you confident Roberts can fill in for Augustin?

Yes, he can do well for us

TIF Thoughts…

It will be a shame if Augustin does miss the rest of the season, considering he has only managed three appearances for the Whites since he joined from RB Leipzig in January.

However, it seems as if Roberts is looking good, and he could be ready to step in and help the Whites in their final push for promotion.

Leeds are seven points clear of Fulham with nine games remaining – so they will be hoping they can get off to the perfect start against Cardiff City on Sunday week.
