An article that was recently published by Sky Sports has named Premier League side Burnley as one of the clubs that are allegedly interested in securing the signature of Charlton Athletic attacker Lyle Taylor.

Addicks boss Lee Bowyer recently confirmed in an interview with TalkSPORT that Taylor is one of three Charlton players who have decided not to re-join the Addicks for the remainder of the 2019/20 Championship campaign. The 30-year-old forward’s contract is set to expire on 30th June and at present, Taylor will depart from The Valley at the end of this month, at which point he would become available on a free transfer.

We will look at Marcelo Bielsa to kick off this quiz on the Championship's managers, which of these national teams has the Leeds United boss managed?

Following this news regarding Taylor’s future, Sky Sports has now published a report naming some of the clubs who are allegedly interested in securing the attacker’s services. One name on this list that may be of particular interest to Taylor is the name of Premier League club Burnley, who are one of 12 clubs that Sky Sports claims are interested in securing the attacker’s signature this summer.

Taylor is yet to compete in England’s top flight and should Burnley make a move for the 30-year-old, it would be difficult to see how his head would not be turned by the prospect of playing in the Premier League.

Do you think that Burnley will make a move for Lyle Taylor?

TIF Thoughts…

Taylor has scored 11 goals in his 22 Championship appearances for the Addicks this season. This means that he has scored a quarter of Charlton’s league goals, in addition to being the club’s top goalscorer in the league for the 2019/20 campaign. With that in mind, it may be fair to say that Taylor has delivered some impressive performances for the Addicks this term and it may not be a big surprise if he has attracted interest from England’s top tier with his performances.
