Some Sunderland fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Black Cats-focused Twitter account @BlackCatsHQ which asks fans of the club if they think that Sunderland should “get rid of Charlie Wyke in the next transfer window”.
Many of the Black Cats supporters who have been responding to this post have been sharing some criticism for the 27-year-old attacker, with one Black Cats fan describing Wyke as a “poor man’s Brett Angell”.

What do we think?
Since joining Sunderland for a £608k transfer fee back in the summer of 2018. Wyke has scored nine goals in his 51 League One appearances, four of which came in his 24 league appearances last season and five of which came in his 27 League One appearances so far this season.
Wyke also made three appearances for the Black Cats in the League One play-offs last season, failing to score in any of those games.
It may be fair to say that the forward hasn’t had a particularly impressive goalscoring record at the Stadium of Light. As a result, it may not come as a big surprise that these Black Cats fans have been critical of him and his performances for their club thus far.
