Sheffield Wednesday-focused Twitter account @Owls_HQ recently posted a tweet asking the club’s supporters whether or not they rate Joey Pelupessy.

This post caught the attention of many Owls supporters who flocked to this post to share their opinions on the player, and plenty of the Wednesday fans who have been replying to this tweet have been critical of the 26-year-old midfielder.

As per Transfermarkt, Wednesday spent £450k to bring Pelupessy to Hillsborough from Dutch side Heracles Almelo back in January 2018. The 26-year-old has made a total of 71 appearances for the Owls thus far. However, judging by the responses to @Owls_HQ’s recent post, he doesn’t appear to have impressed many Wednesday fans in these games.

Read some of the critical comments that have been shared by Owls fans in response to this post about Pelupessy in the tweets below.

Has Joey Pelupessy been Sheffield Wednesday's worst player this season?

YES, HE'S BEEN TERRIBLE

NO, OTHERS HAVE BEEN EVEN WORSE

What do we think?

As per WhoScored, Pelupessy has made 12 league appearances for the Owls this term, earning an average overall rating of 6.45 from those games. A total of 18 other Wednesday players have earned a higher average overall rating than Pelupessy has for the Owls this season, according to WhoScored.

It may be fair to say that Pelupessy hasn’t played a particularly significant number of minutes for Wednesday this season, and judging by this WhoScored rating, he also may not have delivered particularly impressive performances in the games that he did play this term.

With that in mind, it might be understandable why these Wednesday supporters don’t appear to be particularly fond of the 26-year-old midfielder at present.
