A group of Sheffield Wednesday supporters have been discussing the future of their midfielder Adam Reach in response to a question posed by @Owls_HQ on Twitter. The 27-year-old joined the club in August 2016 from Middlesbrough in a deal reportedly worth £5.31m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
The player has made 30 appearances for the Owls in the Championship this season, scoring one goal and providing six assists so far. Reach is currently valued at £3.15m according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, meaning he and Jacob Murphy are the two most valuable players in the squad.
But do these Wednesday fans believe he will still be with the club at the start of the 2020/21 campaign?
No idea. And I wouldn’t be bothered either way. To get promoted you need consistent form from your players and to consistently win or remain unbeaten in matches. Reach is far too inconsistent and can go for me.

….if he can turn his form around mate and he is open about how badly he has performed then he is an asset for sure….I think be wants to go onto bigger things to be honest…in his head anyway lol

I really can’t see what he brings. We should have cashed in.

Would you keep hold of Adam Reach?
Yes
No
No big loss if not

Not for me. Good clear out needed.

What do we think?
It is clear from the above responses that in the eyes of these fans, Reach hasn’t performed at the level he is capable of. That is evidenced by his underwhelming average performance rating in the Championship this season of 6.66/10 (via WhoScored.com).
