Many Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to Owls-focused journalist Alex Miller’s recent tweet that includes a link to an article from The Sheffield Star which shares some comments that were recently made by the club’s assistant manager Lee Bullen regarding the Owls’ ambitions for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.
Bullen has claimed that Wednesday’s target is still to finish this season inside one of the Championship’s top six places. The Owls’ assistant manager claims that “it’s pointless saying anything else” until it’s mathematically impossible for them to finish outside of the top six.
These comments have drawn a negative reaction from many of the Owls fans who have been responding to Miller’s tweet, with many Wednesday supporters indicating that they think Bullen is being unrealistic. Read the replies of some Wednesday fans to these comments in the tweets below.

Sheffield Wednesday players will head to training today for the first time since March 17.
Lee Bullen told me that while it will be tough, the Owls ambition remains a place in the playoffs, should football resume.#SWFC https://t.co/RBlToNTFdD

What do we think?
There are nine games left to be played for every team in the 2019/20 Championship season, and the Owls currently sit in 15th place in the league table, eight points away from 6th. While the odds are stacked against them, it’s fair of Bullen to say that it is still possible for his side to finish in a play-off place and it may be a positive for the club that the assistant manager appears to have plenty of faith in the team.
