Sheffield Wednesday-focused journalist Dom Howson recently posted a tweet which shares a link to an article from Yorkshire Live discussing Joost van Aken’s “uncertain future”, which has caught the attention of some Owls supporters.

This article explains that the 26-year-old defender has made just 16 appearances for Wednesday since originally joining the club back in 2017, having suffered from injuries as well as having dealt with a loss of form during his time at Hillsborough.

This article also shares some comments that the defender made in a recent interview with Dutch radio station NH Nieuws, where he declared that he will be keeping his options open with regards to whether or not he returns to Hillsborough following this season’s loan spell away from the club at German outfit VfL Osnabruck

Some Owls fans have been having their say on the player in response to Howson’s tweet sharing this article. Most of the Wednesday fans who have been responding to this post have been critical of the player, however, some Owls fans have been more positive about the defender’s future at the club.
