Fans of Rangers have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which discusses comments made by former Rangers defender Clint Hill.
Speaking to Open Goal, Hill discussed his time at Rangers and what it was like working under Mark Warburton and David Weir.
However, some of the 41-year-old’s comments appeared to shock Rangers fans, particularly as Hill stated that, under Warburton, the club never practised defending set-pieces.
After a fan tweeted on this topic, fans of Rangers flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that Warburton was not good enough to manage their club, while others claimed that it was obvious the side had not worked on defending set-pieces.
Do you think Warburton was a failure at Rangers?
Yes
No
Interesting insight from Clint Hill about what it was like working under Warburton & Weir. I think the most shocking part was that they never practiced defending set pieces which is crazy given how many goals we lost that season from balls into the box.

Me and dad said when he was manager “Guaranteed Warburton doesn’t defend set pieces in training” ?. All the goals we lost against Celtic and Hibs from corners was shocking.

It’s why we did. People say more money he’d have done better. I’m glad we didn’t give him it to fritter away on English duds.

Aye I couldn’t understand why they didn’t work on defending set plays. That was definitely a major issue and reason why Warburton was a failure.

Considering David Weir’s reputation as a defender what was he doing about it??

Cost us the Scottish cup the season before as well.
It was mental when Barton came out and said he had Hill and Sendros doing shooting drills after letting 5 in at parkhead

Way out their depth. Warburton should never have been anywhere near us bud……
Have you heard the podcast the other week with Joey Barton ?

What do we think?
Warburton was in charge of Rangers from June 2015 to February 2017, guiding the club to the Scottish Championship title in his first season, before leaving the club just over halfway through his second season in charge, after winning 12, drawing seven and losing five of his Scottish Premiership fixtures.
However, despite guiding Rangers back to the top flight of Scottish football, it would appear that many of these fans feel that Warburton was not good enough during his time at the club.
