Hearts fan Ewen Cameron caught the attention of some Rangers fans recently after he posted a tweet discussing Hearts’ relegation following the SPFL’s decision to end the 2019/20 Scottish Premiership season.
As per the BBC, the SPFL have called an end to the 2019/20 Scottish Premiership season after a board meeting which took place on Monday. This article from the BBC also explains that this decision will see Hearts get relegated from Scotland’s top tier.
Cameron placed the blame for Hearts’ relegation on manager Craig Levein in his tweet, however, many of the Rangers supporters who have been responding to this post have declared that they believe the blame should fall on the SPFL and its chief executive Neil Doncaster. Read the reactions of some Gers fans to this post in the tweets below.
Hearts will be playing the likes of Alloa next season and we can also look forward to playing in the Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup thanks to the UNMITIGATED DISASTER that was Craig Levein ?#HEARTS #CraigLevein #SPFL pic.twitter.com/EgbjiLQkrR

I’d have thought you would be more angered at the fact your club has had the chance to avoid relegation taken away by a corrupt spfl just so they could hand out a tainted title

What do we think?
Considering that the season has been called to a halt earlier than expected, it may be understandable why some may feel the SPFL’s decision to end the season prematurely due to the current viral outbreak is to blame for this relegation.
However, it may be fair to say that it is ultimately Hearts’ fault that they found themselves four points adrift at the bottom of the table by the time the SPFL postponed the 2019/20 season and it might not come as a surprise that manager Levein has received some criticism.
