A group of Leeds United supporters have been discussing the club’s recent Twitter post regarding their former defender Lucas Radebe. Wearing a Leeds shirt from the past, the South African took part in a Q&A session via some of the Whites’ social media channels, which has prompted some of these fans to talk about the now 51-year-old.

Radebe made 197 top-flight appearances for the Yorkshire-based club, keeping 57 clean sheets in that time (as per the Premier League’s official website). Here is how a sample of the Elland Road faithful responded to seeing their former defender in the club’s colours again.

What do we think?

It’s clear from the above responses that these Leeds United fans still hold their former defender in extremely high regard. He arrived at Elland Road in 1994 from Kaizer Chiefs for a reported fee of £338k (via Transfermarkt.co.uk), staying at the club until he retired in 2005.

However, whilst most were thrilled to see their former captain, they were less than impressed by the shirt he was wearing.
