A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to a post from Phil Hay as he relayed the news that the Premier League have agreed to begin contact training as the resumption of the season edges closer.
Hay described this as ‘another step forward,’ and it has pleased these Leeds fans who are hoping the Championship follows the top flight’s lead.
Premier League agrees unanimously to resume contact training. "Squads are now able to train as a group and engage in tackling while minimising any unnecessary close contact." Another step forward.

That’s good.
However if there is an increase in postive tests in the next 14 days, it could turn everything on it’s head.

What do we think?
The Premier League confirmed in a statement that the clubs had unanimously decided to resume contact training.
Are you happy about this?
Yes
No
It now looks as if the top-flight could be starting sooner rather than later.
This is more good news for Leeds and their fans in the week that they resumed training, as it seems that their hopes of playing out their own season could have increased with this latest development.
The Whites currently sit top of the Championship and have a seven-point gap over Fulham in third place.
So, you would think that if the Championship resumed, the Whites would be confident of winning promotion.
