Derby County chairman Mel Morris says Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion deserve automatic promotion to the Premier League and he would vote for both to go up if the Championship season was curtailed. Morris made the comments in an interview with Rams TV, as cited by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side reached the Championship semi-final last season and were defeated by Derby County – who went on to lose the final to Aston Villa at Wembley. Given the rivalry that has developed between the two clubs in recent times, were these Leeds United fans surprised to hear Morris’ comments?

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that many of these Leeds United fans believe Morris is up to something. Given the rivalry that has grown recently, Morris’ comments are certainly a surprise.
Following the EFL’s latest board meeting, it was revealed that should the season be curtailed, the final standings would be determined on an unweighted points-per-game basis (via leedsunited.com).
