Many Leeds United supporters have been discussing a Twitter post from @shaunakell, daughter of club legend Peter ‘Stix’ Lockwood. The image captures Lockwood sharing a moment with Director of Football Victor Orta.
According to the post, the image was taken after last season’s play-off semi-final between Leeds United and Derby County. Fans have flocked to the post on social media and here is what a sample of the Elland Road faithful have had to say.
That photograph hurt last year and still hits the mark now.

I remember seeing this. Very powerful image and as an outsider who doesn’t see this stuff showed me the people behind the scenes care passionately. That’s good enough for me. I hope for all our sakes we can finish the job now. ??? #LUFC

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that this photo has pulled on the heartstrings of these Leeds United fans. It is also evident that the club’s supporters have huge respect and admiration for Lockwood and the work he does in and around the place. Last season’s play-off semi-final ended in heartbreak for Marcelo Bielsa’s side but the response since has been impressive – the Whites currently lead the Championship and if it is deemed safe for the competition to resume, they will be pushing for a place back in the top flight via the automatic promotion places.
