A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a post from Graham Smyth that includes an article about the FA.
The piece claims that both The Independent and The Times are reporting that FA chairman Greg Clarke has told the Premier League that the season must be decided on sporting merit.
This means that declaring the season null and void is no longer possible, and according to The Times’ Martyn Ziegler, the FA will not sanction the removal of relegation.
This comes after some of the lower Premier League clubs wanted relegation removed in exchange for them playing the remaining games at neutral venues.
Smyth spoke to Mark Taylor, an analyst for InfoGol, who confirmed that in ‘every scenario’ that he has looked at, Leeds are promoted to the top flight.
Has this update pleased you?
Yes, it is all looking good
No, I am still not convinced
This has sparked a good reaction from many Leeds fans, who are pleased with this update.

Other Whites supporters, though remain less sure.
“The good news for Leeds is that under every scenario I have looked at they almost always go up either as Champions or runner up”
Under what scenario would we not go up? Or is this just a mathematical modelling thing?

I’m sorry but I won’t believe it until I see it. I can’t see teams play in neutral grounds so what will they do then?

Almost always go up. What model must he be using that says we dont? Is there a last 9 game collapse model that Derby invented?

What do we think?
If the season cannot be resumed and the Premier League has to be decided on sporting merit, then the Whites, according to Mr Taylor, will likely be promoted to the Premier League.
It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out in the coming weeks.
