To kick things off what season is this from?

The video shows Meslier facing shots from an angle and either catching them or parrying them away.

This footage drew the attention of many Leeds fans who took time out to praise the 20-year-old.

One fan claimed that Meslier was immense while another suggested that he should be both Leeds’ and France’s number one goalkeeper.

Meslier is currently Marcelo Bielsa’s choice as number one after Kiko Casilla was found guilty of using racist language and banned for eight games.

The Spaniard missed the games against Hull City and Huddersfield Town before the league was suspended, but Meslier filled in and recorded two clean sheets and earned an average rating of 7/10 for those two performances.

While many Whites fans were praising Meslier, other Leeds supporters criticised him for parrying the ball away rather than catching it.

This led to one fan claiming that this footage was worrying, while another asked if there was any chance he could catch any of the shots.

This is a fair point as in the footage, as he does parry many of the efforts away rather than holding onto them, but as one Whites fan pointed out, he could have been asked to do this.

The 20-year-old is on a season-long loan from Lorient, and while he has only made three appearances, it is obvious that many Leeds fans want him signed permanently.

Apparently, the Whites can secure Meslier’s signature permanently for just £5m, so we understand why these Leeds fans want him signed up.

Casilla still has six games of his ban left, so if Marcelo Bielsa continues with Meslier in goal, then the Frenchman will have at least six more matches to prove to the Argentine that he deserves to be Leeds’ number one.

Certainly, if he can continue his clean sheet record, whenever the league resumes, he could have a good chance of becoming the Whites’ long-term number one goalkeeper.
