Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which the club uploads a photograph from a training session.

In the photo, which was shared by the official Leeds United Twitter account, United defender Barry Douglas is featured giving the peace sign, with the account commenting “How many metres at all times?” in reference to the UK government’s social distancing guidelines.

To kick things off what season is this from?

In reaction to the post, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that Douglas’ rather unkempt look has left him resembling Captain America, while others have called for the left-back to stay fit, in order for him to demonstrate his ability to the fans.

What do we think?

Since his arrival at Elland Road from Wolves for a fee of £3.06 million in 2018, Douglas has gone on to make 39 appearances for Leeds, providing five assists.

So far this season, the 30-year-old has managed to feature in just 11 Championship games, in addition to one FA Cup and one Carabao Cup fixture.

However, it would appear that, despite this lack of game time, many Leeds fans have taken to Douglas, with the defender’s more rugged appearance seemingly pleasing them.
