A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to a post from Phil Hay.
This was after he was asked by one fan could Leeds’ and West Bromwich Albion’s promotion hopes be scuppered if the Premier League agrees to cancel relegation to get teams to finish the season at neutral venues.
Hay thinks that if this were the case, it would cause ‘big problems’ and that the Whites ‘would argue for an expanded EPL.’
However, Hay is worried that Leeds would then be up against the top six who already think they have too many matches to play.
Does this tweet from Hay worry you?
Yes
No
This has sparked a lot of responses from angry Leeds fans.
it would cause big problems, for sure. Leeds would argue for an expanded EPL but you're up against the top six clubs who already think they've got too many games to cope with.

How on earth can you have no relegation Phil? What would be the point of finishing the season with risk involved?

If the premier league block us coming up based on this what is the point in football?

Funny how its the bottom six being awkward now and not the usual top 6.

Its like the game doesn’t exist outside the premiership tbh. And just proves why getting there is so important!!

Money grabbing. Everyone can see these planks for what they are. Seriously unimpressed by Brighton (they’re bigwigs seem grounded and well run ont radio). Hope they see sense and dont go down the financial route. @premierleague could do their own TV service and make a mint. #mot

No relegation would effect the whole league intergrity. A team at the bottom with nothing to play for against a team playing for a place in europe.

If they refuse promotion, that’s a real poke in the eye for any kind of fairness in english football. Wonder how much they care though.

What do we think?
The Premier League is attempting to re-launch the season when it is deemed safe to do so, but one of their conditions is that all matches have to be played at neutral venues.
This has drawn some opposition from some clubs, and those teams want relegation to be scrapped if they agree to play in neutral grounds.
This could ruin Leeds’ season, so it is no surprise to see so many Whites fans responding with anger at this idea.
