Charlton Athletic Supporters’ Trust (CAST) recently posted a tweet that includes a link to an article from WalesOnline which features an interview with Huw Jenkins who discusses, among other things, his interest in potentially striking a deal to take over the Addicks.
This article quotes Jenkins as stating that he was “put in touch with a representative of the Charlton owners” in recent weeks. The former Swansea City chairman goes on to say that he feels that he “could turn the football club around”. However, he does clarify that he feels that the deal “needs more consideration” before he actually goes through with it.

In my opinion, if there was ever a person that fits the bill as Charlton Athletic owner it’s Huw Jenkins. Pray to God this happens ?

The unfortunate thing about it is he is relying on the @EFL to give him information and reassurances…could be waiting a while and he moves on. The @EFL once again could cause us more pain.

Would Huw Jenkins be a good fit for Charlton Athletic?YESNO |
Can’t really argue with his comments to be fair! Hope we survive until Jenkins can complete a takeover! I think he would be perfect for us!

Really want him at CAFC. Exactly the right fit for us ?

Some Addicks fans responded to CAST’s tweet by calling for them to get into contact with Jenkins, with one Charlton supporter clarifying that they could inform Jenkins that the club’s supporters “are on board” with him.
Have you been in touch with him yet?
— David Jarvis (@DavidJarvis25) May 27, 2020
is it worth making a tentative contact, maybe offer any assistance, purely as a means of contact to indicate that we are on board?

As per the BBC, during his time as chairman of Swansea City, Jenkins “oversaw a huge reversal in fortunes” for the club. With that in mind, it may be understandable why some Charlton fans may want to see someone with Jenkins’ experience involved with their club.
