Charlton Athletic-focused Twitter account @100PercentCafc recently posted a tweet asking fans of the club to rate Sam Field’s season out of 10.

This post caught the attention of many Addicks fans, who flocked to this post to have their say on the player, with many of those who responded to this tweet taking this opportunity to share their appreciation for the 22-year-old.

Field joined the Addicks on loan from West Brom back in the 2019 summer transfer window. He made just nine league appearances for Charlton before his season was cut short in October, as explained by The Express and Star, which states that the player suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Was Sam Field one of Charlton Athletic's best players this season before he got injured?

YES, HE WAS BRILLIANT

What do we think?

Despite missing some time this season due to injury, it appears as though Field may have left a positive impression on some Charlton fans this term.

Field earned a respectable average overall rating of 6.75 from his nine league appearances this term according to WhoScored, giving him the eighth-highest average overall rating of any Addicks player in the Championship this season.

With that in mind, it may be understandable why these Addicks fans were pleased by his performances for the club this season prior to his injury.
