Some Charlton Athletic fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account that includes a link to an article from the Addicks’ official website which shares some news regarding the club’s return to training after their squad returned to their Sparrows Lane training ground on Monday for the first time since professional football was postponed in England back in March.
The Addicks’ recent tweet briefly summarises the contents of this article. The tweet explains that club captain Jason Pearce has stated that he is “pleased to be back and impressed with squad fitness”, whilst it also confirms that the club are “in conversation with David Davis”, who is yet to return to training due to safety concerns.
This post also states that Tomer Hemed and Matt Smith would be returning to training on Friday 29 May. In this article from the club’s website, it is explained that they would follow the rest of the squad who returned to training on Monday, as Smith had been undergoing testing with his parent club Manchester City, whilst Hemed had been travelling back from Israel.

The Addicks’ tweet sharing all of this news has caught the attention of plenty of Charlton fans, some of whom have taken this opportunity to criticise some of the players who are mentioned in the tweet, with one Charlton supporter stating that the Addicks “don’t need” those players.
Honestly don’t need any of them 3 whatsoever. Davison, Field and JFC are all much better ?

Davis can stay in Brum, he didn’t exactly shine in games he played. As for Hemed, what a flop he’s turned out to be after so much expectation at start of season.
