Some Celtic fans have made their opinions clear about Mohamed Elyounoussi after a post about him caught their attention.
Hoops-related page Celtic1967.com recently posted about Elyounoussi. The post asked Hoops fans for their opinion about the Norwegian, and whether he should be signed permanently or let go in the summer.
On seeing this, many of them said that the on-loan Southampton man shouldn’t be signed permanently. They had a variety of reasons for it.
He’s gone mate ?

What should Celtic do about Elyounoussi
Sign him!
Let him go
Let go. Had ONE good game. I made my mind up at league Cup final. I could have made more an impact.

He doesn’t fit into the 352 formation and the money he will cost doesn’t justify his few months here!

Bye bye

Not for me.
Not worth the money they want for him.— brian mc laughlin (@horseman222) May 6, 2020
No chance for the money he’s on.

Need to let go. Too expensive. We have to get big Fraser and he is going to cost us a fortune. Don’t imagine we,ll have much cash to throw about in the summer. So priority is the big man.

Elyounoussi joined Southampton in the summer of 2018 from Basel, joining the Hoops on loan last August.
This season, Elyounoussi has made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. He has contributed to 13 goals in that time, having scored seven times and having assisted six times so far (via Transfermarkt).
What do we think?
Elyounoussi’s goal contribution rate isn’t bad at all, judging by the numbers. However, he is valued at £8.55 million by Transfermarkt. Considering Celtic’s transfer record happens to be £9.27 million, it may not be easy to sign a player as expensive as Elyounoussi any time soon, which suggests that some Celtic fans are right to point out his price being a big disadvantage in relation to potentially signing him permanently.
